Birth Doula Service Details
As part of my birth doula service, I provide:
• any amount of prenatal visits (usually 4-5) you need to support you in:
- seeking information, including unlimited access to my resources library
- discussing your pregnancy, birth and new parenthood expectations
- discussing your birth options and completing your birth plan
• support during labour and birth, from whenever you feel you need me, which includes:
- seeking information, including unlimited access to my resources library
- discussing your pregnancy, birth and new parenthood expectations
- discussing your birth options and completing your birth plan
• support during labour and birth, from whenever you feel you need me, which includes:
- emotional support
- physical comfort measures including massage, heat packs and assistance in movement
- suggesting to you ways in which you can enhance your body's efforts to birth your baby
- supporting your partner in supporting you
- assistance in maintaining your environment according to your desires, including music, aromatherapy and lighting
- facilitation of communication between you, your partner and your birth team
• one postnatal visit to support you in:
- breastfeeding
- care of your newborn
- debriefing your birth experience
- physical comfort measures including massage, heat packs and assistance in movement
- suggesting to you ways in which you can enhance your body's efforts to birth your baby
- supporting your partner in supporting you
- assistance in maintaining your environment according to your desires, including music, aromatherapy and lighting
- facilitation of communication between you, your partner and your birth team
• one postnatal visit to support you in:
- breastfeeding
- care of your newborn
- debriefing your birth experience
I also provide you with the option of a backup doula, should you
require lengthy support or in the unlikely event I am unable to
attend your birth.
Costs
Basic Package:
The cost of my birth doula service is
$850.
Basic Package + Photography:
If you would like to include photographs of your
pregnancy and birth
experience, the cost is $1000 (all pregnancy and birth photography on this website were captured by me). I give you a CD that includes all the photographs, plus provide prints of some of the best shots.
Payment is made by installments, with the total due by 38 weeks into your pregnancy.
Please note I am taking minimal clients for 2010 and 2011 - please contact me early to avoid disappointment.
